Timbrook Nissan profile: William “Red” Rice

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be profiling the sales staff and managers here at Timbrook Nissan. We’re doing this in the hope that when you come in, whether for sales, service, or parts, you’ll have a better idea who we are, and feel like part of our family.

Our senior salesperson is William “Red” Rice. Red has enjoyed two stints here at Timbrook Nissan, his most recent beginning in July of 2010.

A graduate of Flintstone High school, Red was born and raised in Flintstone, Maryland. He still resides there with his shelties, “Lucy” and “Laddee.”

At work, Red is happy-go-lucky, fun-loving, quite friendly, and a bit of a prankster. He’s one of those people that you speak with for 5 minutes, and feel like you’ve known them your entire life. That makes his customers feel right at home, and that’s just the way Red wants it.

“I like getting customers into their payment range, and seeing them amazed, relieved and happy,” he said. “That’s what it’s all about.”

Red is a big believer in the Nissan brand, having owned an Altima himself. When asked why, he said, “Because it holds four guys, and four sets of (golf) clubs.” He believes that, across the lineup, Nissan stacks up well against the competition.

Nissan Versa Sedan: All-New for 2012!

It seems that everyone who sees the new Nissan Versa sedan asks one question. “What is that?” That’s because the Versa has undergone a complete redesign for 2012.

While the 1.6L engine was available in previous model years, it now features Nissan’s “Pure Drive” technology, which reduces emissions, and allows the Versa to get 38 MPG (EPA estimate) on the highway. This is a 6 MPG upgrade over previous editions.

While much has changed for the new model year, one thing remains the same; Nissan’s emphasis on safety. The Versa still comes standard with six airbags, Vehicle Dynamic Control, ABS, and Electronic Brake Force Distribution. All of this combines to ensure that your Versa will work hard to avoid an accident, and to protect you, should the unavoidable occur.
